playloudness property of player object missing

Post by okk » Sun Dec 13, 2020 11:43 pm

hi,
I was looking up the properties of the player object and to my surprise the playloudness was missing from my dictionary. (LC 9.6.1 Indy) I wanted to suggest a change through github but somehow did not manage to find the right place, since the properties are not found directly on the player object page. Any tip how to do this?

Thanks!
Oliver

Which platform are you running LiveCode on?

I believe the OP is correct. This is missing from the Dictionary if you look at the entry for the Player control. This lists a whole series of properties (and a summary for each). PlayLoudness is not in that list. So if you know that property should exist you can find it, but if you were learning what the Player object could do from its Dictionary entry, you might not find that property.

found directly on the player object page
Hmm:

This reminds me of the letters my 9 year old EFL kids write to an imaginary Maasai boy in Tanzania:

"I am in Grade 5."

Explaining to these children that Christopher Ole Nerento does not share the same conceptual framework that they do is an uphill struggle.

Perhaps, after the lockdown, I should fly to Edinburgh to give a few lectures on Reader-Response Theory and so on
to the good folks at LiveCode central.
