Snapshot of Map Widget on Mobile

Post by JereMiami » Sun May 07, 2023 10:36 pm

I get that that the map widget might use native controls (at least on Android, and has its own layer), but anyone ever pull this off without getting a black or blank image?

Curiously though, the snapshot DOES capture the gray reposition icon within Google Maps (located in the upper right corner of the widget and looks like a compass), but everything else is black or empty. How can that be if the map widget is on its own native layer? Given that icon can be "snapshotted," I feel like the rest of the map could be too.

Thoughts?
