Using fontawesome and liveCode?

Post by Simon » Tue May 19, 2015 10:37 pm

Hi All,
OK, so I know how to use a custom font in liveCode and have used fontello.com to make my own glyph icons and use them my mobile stacks. All cool and groovy.

Now when using fontawesome I see that in Windows using the Character Map all the glyph's are in Private Use code err... area. When I use Select/Copy/Paste I can show the glyph in a field but cannot change it's font size (well the glyph doesn't get bigger or smaller).
Anyone know how to do this?

Tip: If you are getting into using glyph fonts don't go to the fontawesome site but install the .ttf from here
...RunRev\LiveCode Community 8.0 (dp 1)\Toolset\resources\supporting_files\fonts
Don't know why but only those would install properly on my system.

Simon
