Demo problems

Installed Revolution 2.7.1 Demo on a new Windows XP SP2 computer.
After installing, the shortcut on Desktop and those installed onto the start menu do not work.
Shortcut path has not been corrected for version change -- it should be "C:\Program Files\Revolution Studio\2.7.1-gm-1\Revolution.exe" instead of "C:\Program Files\Revolution Studio\2.7.0-gm-1\Revolution.exe".

When starting up the installed demo of Revolution Studio -- the cursor disappears over the demo start screen so you have to guess where the continue button is in order to start up the application.
My video drivers are up to date.

These are minor faults but don't look good to someone unfamiliar with Revolution Studio.

I am sure that's a better place for reporting bugs than this forum.

Works fine here WIndows XP - RR 2.7.1

Hi Paul:

Just for the record, I had the same difficulties with the 2.7.1 demo on my up-to-date (i.e. fully patched) Win XP Pro system that you describe: incorrect paths in the start menu & desktop shortcuts, and the disappearing mouse cursor over the demo splash screen/continue button.

The path problem is easily fixed, but perhaps not the best first impression for a potential and/or new user.

Hi George,

Rev Studio does have useful functionality that I can use, so I've been
overlooking minor issues that would put some Windows users off.

Like many Windows developers -- I have no interest in cross platform work, and was not interested in Rev Studio until v2.7, when I could finally Anti-alias to an acceptable (IMO) level.
I have purchased Rev Studio -- I'd been playing with the demo for a week or so -- I am surprised and impressed by the amount of easily available power under the hood.

Once I managed to find the well hidden shortcut keys, navigation around Rev Studio got a lot easier.
