Hi,
Not sure where I'm going wrong here, I upgraded my membership and downloaded all of the MergExt files, however I can't seem to get the mergSocial extension to do anything. Even with 8.0 drop 16 and updated Xcode. Not really sure where to go?
I've tried removing the copy files and re-adding them etc but I just get an error. When I press the "Post" button I do get a jpeg saved to documents but nothing else. I'm looking to add social media functions to my app but can't get off the starting blocks.
Does anyone have any code examples that might walk me through the process?

mergSocial is iOS only so you need to test on a device.

I've done that but I just get that the service is unavailable.

Have you enabled the device on your device?

As far as I know I have. I've been using my other apps on my device and they seem to be ok and I've been through all of the standalone settings in case I've missed anything.
Is there a specific enable setting I should look for either on the phone or the standalone settings?

Go to Facebook and Twitter in the Settings app and sign in. If that doesn't enable them let me know and I'll investigate.

Hi Monte,
I tried logging in and I can get the example app to work fine with Twitter but with Facebook it just becomes unavailable to post. I didn't need to do any app creation or setting up on Twitter, it just let me post to my feed once I was logged in with my normal account information.
Can you suggest anything I need to do specifically for Facebook? Sorry to be a pain. Your help is greatly appreciated.

Hmm... is Facebook available in mergPopActivity?

I'm using Livecode Indy 8.1.0 build 14005. I have been messing around with MergSocial but as per the previous comments it doesn't seem to pass the body text properly to Facebook. Twitter seems ok. Any chance this will be or has been fixed? It seems this is an outstanding issue that has fallen through the cracks.

Unfortunately Facebook blocks pre-filled in text as per their policy which makes the dialog behave differently if the facebook app is installed. *Many* developers have asked them to change their policy....
