I just let LC update itself from 6.1.1 rc2 to 6.1.1 rc3. When it relaunched after the install, About LC still said rc2.
Checking my Applications folder, I see I now have both versions. So I zipped up rc2 and launched rc3.
Just a heads-up.
Updating to LC rc3? Look out for zombie rc2

yeah they don't replace the old one, all updates will just be added. Altho very mac-unlike, this assures that you can always go back if a newer version has problems.

I do zip up the old one and delete the working copy of it.BvG wrote:yeah they don't replace the old one, all updates will just be added. Altho very mac-unlike, this assures that you can always go back if a newer version has problems.
The point is, when LC updates itself, it does not launch the newer version automatically. You have to quit it and go open the new one.
