With a password or a lot of luck!
Re: Unlocking an locked stack
Ah, yes and you can send it to the mothership and they will unlock it for a fee...

OK . . .
I would suppose that in the erstwhile Open Source version of LiveCode, just exactly because it
was (and technically still is) Open Source nothing should be locked.

Back in the day, Danny Goodman said that if you locked a HC stack and forgot how to open it, then even Bill Atkinson could not help you.

I thought that locking code was one of the benefits of buying Indy/Pro versions? Or am i wrong?richmond62 wrote: ↑Sun Sep 19, 2021 2:33 pmOK . . .

If that is the case, then it's neither opensource nor inappropriate it was locked...

Re: Unlocking an locked stack
The open source version has no password capabilities, so any stack created with that edition can't be locked. If you're trying to open a stack passworded in another edition then you can't unlock it when opened in the OSS edition.
The team can remove password protection from stacks but if it isn't your own stack they probably won't do it.

Re: Unlocking an locked stack
In the end I located the script-only stack I was attempting to edit and
opened it up in BBEdit and everything was so simple I made a complete
and utter botch of everything.
