My LiveCode site may be going away

My LiveCode website - Learn to Program by Creating Games, Apps and Programs ( bit.ly/erhslc or https://sites.google.com/a/pgcps.org/livecode/ ) may be going away in the next month or two.
I apologize, it is beyond my control. It is Google’s decision and
So if you are using it for your classes, to learn LiveCode or for reference, please make a copy of it. I would recommend using the Mac app - SiteSucker. It is free and can download the entire site automatically and in the background. It will relocate all links so that it would be fully functional in its new location (locally on your hard drive). You can then use it at home on your computer with no Internet access needed.
As an explanation, it was created using Google websites. Google is retiring those old “classic” websites and requiring that they be converted to the new version of Google websites. The classic sites will stop working in Sept/Oct. I no longer have admin rights to do the conversion.
I hope by downloading the complete sites, that the Google html routines will be downloaded as well and continue working. I am not sure. We will find out Sept/Oct. if the copies are disabled too.
I would have written it in pure HTML but I was too busy learning and teaching LiveCode at the same time. As the students and I learned LiveCode together, I saw the need to document the learning path, the gotcha’s, the “ah ha” moments, the quirks, the problems we ran into and the many variations of code they came up with. We needed to document the most common questions and their answers. The lessons online would provide a resource for the students and myself to look back on for review and for future classes. I wanted to document their questions and problems along with the solutions that we found. They had so many ideas for new games that those also needed written down for the future projects. It was a busy time, learning and recording at night and teaching in the day. Google websites just made the job of documenting the day’s lessons, easier.
When I retired, all my accounts and data were deleted. For that reason, I had transferred ownership to another teacher, preserving it until she retires. I would ask her to do the conversion of the site but I do not think it will work. i have tried to convert another Google website to the new version but it did not work very well. I had to redo it from scratch. So I do not have much hope that the LiveCode site will convert either and would require too much work to redo.
Sorry for the long post but I just wanted to explain the situation and apologize for the loss of the site.
I have been monitoring it using Google Analytics since 2014. Over the last 7 years on a monthly basis, it has averaged approx. 1,000 new users every month. 80% of those were from “organic” searches but 20% are either “direct” or “referral”. I assume that some of those may be from organized LiveCode classes. So if you are using it in any part, please make your own copy of it.
I thank all of you for finding it worthwhile enough to use. It gives me satisfaction that my work was not for naught.
Thanks
