Gray background uninvited
I wish to be able to develop on two Macs, home and office. Everything is fine on one Mac, but when I open the stack on the other Mac the background is a rather dark gray, and it obscures or mars graphics. I've looked extensively for the cause: various checkmarks in the Main pane of stack properties, all the ink choices in the Colors pane of stack properties. A Livecode settings, not stack issue? I have no idea. I've tried numerous menu choices. The Appearance pane of Preferences is no help. Reset All Preferences to Default? Nope. A simple setting no doubt, but I can't find it. Any assistance is appreciated!

Have you checked the state of the "backDrop" menuItem in the "View" menu?

Yes. On or off has no effect on the shading of the main stack window.
Re: Gray background uninvited
Thanks, but nothing. Same results with:
set the backGroundColor of this stack to ""
But,
set the backGroundColor of this stack to "white"
...got rid of the gray, but graphics are still obscured.

Re: Gray background uninvited
Actually, there seem to be two issues. With the background as white, graphics that don’t vary are fine. The ones that are accessed with “set the filename of graphic...” calls are not showing up. Not sure why that is. I will investigate.

Resolved. Thanks for your input, Craig!

It seems the only confusing factor associated with the move to a different computer was Livecode for some reason setting a different backGroundColor property. The remaining difficulties with displaying of graphics elements were not related to that issue, and I was able to troubleshoot them successfully.

Re: Gray background uninvited
LiveCode should be using the OS default background color when no background color has been assigned. And that will vary from OS to OS.
