I am infected with the crazy idea of having a stack that resizes to the size of
an end-user's screen . . .
This threw me off a bit:

as it seems to contradict the Dictionary.
THIS is okay, as far as it goes, but it doesn't take screen "furniture" into account:

Although, frankly, that negative number makes me feel a bit lumpy about the monitor on the left:
