locking the screen during the move
might make it very difficult for the mover to see the movement.

Yah, I thought so too initially, but really not so much. It did tend to help in evening out the bobbing effect, just not as much as I had hoped.

Great stuff! I still can't agree that anything I've seen is as elegant (in the 'simple elegance' sense) as the SuperCard ability, but I can see a lot of flexibility and power in the various alternative LiveCode methods. This 'send in -1' trick is very cool.

You asked why I didn't use a slider or similar object. I did look at this, but it didn't fit the way I wanted this interface to work. I used one of the techniques posted here, and people seem to find the end result very clear. And yes, it is to do with panoramic image production. :)
