Re: Iphone Simulator 5.1 Error
The green bar in the standalone settings explains it. Apple doesn't allow open source software in the App Store, so you can't build with the free community edition of LiveCode. You'll need to purchase the commercial version to make iOS apps.

Hi all
@ Jacque - It is possible to build iOS standalones/ test on iOS simulator with the community edition you are however not allowed deploy to the iOS store![Smile :)](./images/smilies/icon_smile.gif)
@ Jayare - I would try updating to the latest RC version of LiveCode to see if that resolves the issue
http://downloads.livecode.com/livecode/
Another thing to try is updating your Xcode version to 7.1 as this will give your newer simulators to try out with and allow you to build against the latest SDKS
Kind Regards,
Neil Roger

Re: Iphone Simulator 5.1 Error
Thank's for your reply. I just updated Livecode to 7.1.1, which is the newest RC Version of Livecode.
The Error Message is still there. Can someone tell me which Xcode version the best to LC 7.1.1 is.
In the list of livecode, there is no 7.1.1 actually not listed: https://livecode.com/support/ask-a-ques ... -livecode/

Re: Iphone Simulator 5.1 Error
Hi Jayare ,
I am using Xcode 7.1 with LiveCode 7.1.1.
One thing to check is that you have selected a simulator from the development--->Test Target menu as if a 5.1 sim was initially selected when an older version of Xcode was linked (but is no longer present) then LC will throw an error.
Kind Regards,
Neil Roger

Re: Iphone Simulator 5.1 Error
Neil's advice to make sure I've picked a "Development > Test Target" just resolved the stop sign error that says "iphone simulator 7.0"
I just thought I'd mention that here in case someone is searching the forum for that error string like I was![Smile :)](./images/smilies/icon_smile.gif)

What I don't understand is why my pushbuttons (style iOS) are all disappearing in the simulator. My title object and labels are missing too. All I can see are my scrolling fields. I'll keep searching for answers...
