Connecting app to internet things

Hey everyone!
I've been working on my app, but I've come across a problem. Ideally I'd like to somehow read a Dropbox/Google Drive file and either compare each line of text to a string that the user enters, or display the text from the file into a field
Also, is it possible to display a Google calender on the app? If so, how would I allow users to sync that Google Calender with their phones?
Any tips or advice would be helpful
