Where is current documentation?

Just installed 5.5.3 on the Linux platform and I am bit baffled as the link to the UserGuide does not work. I manually downloaded it from the web site (this forum will not even let me share an URL for RunRev's site), but it is very old at revision 18 from 2010.09.16. I even tried the URL in the document where it says you can always download the newest version, but it only offers the same obsolete one. Likewise if you visit docs page (again, stupid forum does not let reference the URL) it references version 4 and products that are long gone (revEnterprise, revStudio, etc)...
So where in blazes is the CURRENT LiveCode documentation? Searching for "documentation" on this forum gives you an error about the word being too common instead of results.

Current documentation can be found either in the Help > Dictionary menu item or the Dictionary button on the toolbar..
You can also find an outdated version at
http://docs.runrev.com/

The dictionary does work on the Linux platform, but the User Guide and much of the other features of the Start Center (or whatever it is called) are broken. I may have to dig about to see if I can see what platform RunRev uses for LiveCode testing - I am using Xubuntu 10.04.xx (LTS) as I am not a fan of the Unity stuff in the "regular" Ubuntu release. I also ordered new gear that would allow me to entertain using Windows again...
I found an updated version of the User Guide on disk with the application, but it is also hopelessly out of date. Aside from not reflecting the current release in any way, the User Guide is littered with non-working URLs to support materials. Some of which you can find with Google if you are patient enough. I do wonder if documents created in 2006 are useful when the topics are difficult to begin with (Externals)...having to sort out why something does not work because it is incorrect for 2012 or if you are just too dull for the light to turn on.

When in doubt, blame the docs

The most current documentation ships with the product, and the links to auto-open them are under the Help menu. If those don't work, the actual PDF user guide is in the app folder in Tools/Documentation/pdf/ . The release notes, Android notes, and iOS notes are loose in Tools/ .

Thanks for those specifics. If you could note just a couple of those page numbers I can file a report for this.
Thanks for you help.

When I load LC, the splash screen has links to dozens of tutorials and docs.
So far, I've been able to learn from those resources.
I was going to post a link, but I am getting the following message:
"Your account does not have permission to post links or domain/page references."
Anyway, it's the one in the main site under Developers. A whole slew of tutorials there.
