Option Menu Question

Post by phaworth » Tue Mar 23, 2010 6:00 pm

I use a lot of option menus in my app and like the way that by typing a character or two when the option menu is selected, that the first qualifying entry in the menu is highlighted.

That all works great when the number of lines in the option menu contents doesn't require any scrolling to display them all. When scrolling is required, the qualifying entry that is highlighted is the last one on the screen before the scroll arrow. What would be great is if the menu would auto-scroll so that the highlighted entry was halfway up the list so that other entries that start with the same letter(s) I typed are also visible. Any ideas on how to do that?

Thanks,
Pete

I'm not sure, but you might want to look at the menuHistory property. It might do what you want.
