Hi David,
this will work for this situation:
Right-click on the app and select "Open...". Then you need to confirm that you really really really really really reall
want to open the app and that should do the trick.

Klaus,
I appreciate that tip.
It's probably not worth the risk to use the Google tool.
Thanks,
David

That's not how it works, you only upload your key to Google if you want Google to sign the app. If you don't want that, just sign the app yourself and decline the choice to allow Google to manage the keystore.DR White wrote: ↑Tue Feb 14, 2023 12:33 pmIf I don't use Google signing, I have download a google tool that will encrypt my Android keystone. Then i have to upload it back to google.
My Mac won't accept the Google tool, because it is from an unidentified developer. So it looks like I have no choice, but to use the Google signing.
BTW I've never heard of a tool that you need to use for encryption, and if Google required it you'd think they would have signed it themselves. Keystores are already encrypted, that's what the dual passwords are for. How are you creating your keystore?

I don't know anything about google and keystores, but what Jacque says sounds legit
But regarding your Mac comment:
Right-click on the downloaded app and select 'open', click the 'OK' button to acknowledge the risk and you should then be able to open the app normally from then on, even if from an unidentified developer. You may need to have set Security in the MacOS system settings to allow apps from App Store and Identified Developers (as opposed to just from the App Store).

Re: Android App Bundle with a new key before you upload it?
Jacque,
The last time i submitted an app to Google (2 years ago), all I had to do was to uncheck the Google Signing box.
But today, When I unchecked it, I had to use either use the Google signing or Google tool with my Keystore in it.
So today, I went ahead and did the Google signing. It said I can always change it. I am too exhausted from getting
up these last two months between 2:30 and 4am each morning to work on the app while the house is quiet.
Google did approve the app late today.
The next couple of days I will work on getting the app into the Apple Store.
That might be challenging since all my devices require Xcode 14 on my laptop
to download the app. I will try submitting screen saves from laptop simulators.
Thank you and the LC team so much for enabling me to get this app published,
David

Re: Android App Bundle with a new key before you upload it?
I haven't submitted to the store for a while so the procedure is new to me. Thanks for the heads-up, I'll have to take a look.
Congrats on your successful submission.
