property inspector problem
hi, recently the property inspector started not working well, very often it foesn't open and it's really annoying so i quit livecode and then i reopen it but then after 5 minutes again... or sometimes it opens but it doesn't change from basic, colors, effects ecc.
I use the 9.5 version, but the thing that i don't understand is why this problem came up only recently given that I'm using this version for several months now (and it's not my PC's problem because i changed it recently.) any ideas?
thanks!
Samuele.

Re: property inspector problem
I suggest that, first, you upgrade to LiveCode 9.6.3
and see if that problem is still happening.

Re: property inspector problem
Are you only working on 1 stack?
This:
This:
does not make much sense unless the problem is caused by something going on in a particular stack.windows (11) but it gave me the same problems on a mac

Re: property inspector problem
Obviously not completely.i'ts a normal working stack
I did suggest to start again . . .
If you start step by step you may find out what is causing the problem.
Re: property inspector problem
while we're on the subject of problems, now i can't even open any livecode stack

Re: property inspector problem
What happens? Do you get an error message? Do the IDE stacks open?

Re: property inspector problem
I know it is, and I have had to do it with a very large stack indeed at least 3 times:That's A LOT of work
it is NOT FUN:
but it is about the best way to find the rat in the woodpile.
AND every time I have done that I have found out that large parts of my code are complete rubbish
and so have ended up with something better.
