What MacOS version should I have?

Post by Jellobus » Thu Jun 24, 2021 12:22 pm

Hello,

Can I develop iOS mobile app on MacOS 11.X (Big Sur)? According to the release note of LC 9.6.2, MacOS 10.15 is the latest OS version LC supports. I haven't updated my Mac to the 11.x Big Sur because of this concern. Should I stay with older MacOS 10.15 or update it to the latest version?

Please advise, Thank you for your time!

Cheers,

Hello,

I'm currently using LC 9.6.2 with Xcode 12.1 on Big Sur for iOS development. I don't have any problem.

Regards

If the version of Xcode you're using is too new for LiveCode, you can install older versions of Xcode that are compatible - as long as you point LC to the correct directory, it can use the older Xcode tools for this will work fine...
