Screen Push In the Middle of a Dissolve?

Post by punchcard » Tue Nov 03, 2015 5:47 pm

On a mobile app, I would like to keep transitions between different images that I have with " unlock screen with visual effect dissolve very slow" giving me a nice film-like desired effect. However, I have also been needing to push these cards (within which the images are dissolving from one to another) from one to another, using the mouseH readings and once again locking the screen and pushing left very fast. My problem is that while the slow dissolves are occurring the screen is unresponsive. Could I possibly achieve these two effects together?

Unfortunately "visual effects" are completely "blocking". :(

Thank you, Klaus! I think I will let go of the dissolves so that the mobile app is responsive at all times with the necessary pushes.

Maybe you can fake this effect by using a repeat loop with setting "the blendlevel" of your images?
OK, will not probably work for card to card transition without lots of additional work.

I understand, that's a great suggestion! I am using a repeat loop anyway so I will experiment with changing the "the blendlevel" and at the transition will reset all levels back to normal.

Thank you, once again, Klaus. I certainly implemented your work around with a single photo fading out slowly and up and yes, it is totally responsive to the push effect. Now, I will work with two photos and bring the blendlevel up in one as the other one is going down. Of course the other very nice thing with this approach is that you can really make the fades/dissolves very very slowly (rather than being locked to transition presets). So, I appreciate your help very much!

There is a way to control the exact duration of a visual effect!
...
lock screen for visual effect
## Make the effect 0.5 seconds long, default effectrate value = 2000
set the effectrate to 500
## do something that makes the effect worth it!
## Now the mentally challenging part:
unlock screen with visual dissolve very slow
...
Yes, "the effectrate" controls the speed of the "very slow" visual effect, awesome, innit?! :D
