When is LiveCode going to allow gradients for Graphics

I can create them in 7 but since 7, gradients don't work. As a designer I miss this feature and think it is critical to designing apps. Anyone else miss these? Or are these a forgotten deprecated feature?

That looks like a backward move.

Yes, I dont found a gradient item
Fortunately it seems we can create it with 7 copy it and paste it on LC 8

In v8.1.1 I see gradient options for both stroke and fill in the Property Inspector's "Colors" tab.

Yes I know the property inspector has the palette for it, but the question is, what will it do?
Lately, with the exact same version of LiveCode oddly enough, I have been able to create a gradient graphic. The catch is that you only have one chance to set it up, if you try modify it at all, it will go away and become a solid color again. It's a tricky bugger, but works for me. Can always recreate the graphic, or like the previous comment said, you can create it in 7 and copy it over.

I have to admit I was a bit frustrated when first using 8.1 to set and modify graphic gradients. Maybe you’re having the same frustration… I’m on a Mac 10.11.4
First, select the graphic you wish to set or modify.
Second, select Object Inspector from the Objects Menu. The Inspector property inspector will display.
Third, drag the Property Insspector to the far left of your screen.
Fourth, at the Background Color line, tap the long rectangle (it’s the third one from left). The Gradient Adjust window will appear to the far right of the Property Inspector.
Now you should be able to select the gradient type and settings.
It took me multiple days messing around to find this… I like the Inspector to the far right of the screen, so that’s where I moved it when it first displayed… when you do that, the Gradient Adjustment window is displayed OFF THE SCREEN.
