After adding a new control and creating the script, it would be really useful is if a list of available messages relevant for that particular object could be shown either as a contextual menu or in the tabs at the bottom of the script editor.

It would definitely be a nice addition, but in the meantime you can get something very close to that in the Dictionary, clicking the object type from the list on the left and sorting the results by token type, so the properties and messages are each grouped together.
