[Solved]JDK Path:(none) and ..could not compile support class

Post by franzda » Wed Aug 04, 2021 5:41 pm

The point has been posted countless times:

Hello
I am very disappointed because after hours I still haven't found a solution for two points.
I read the information from the net. Everywhere is written that "JDK Path" is found automatically. (not for me !! JDK Path (none)
I have uninstalled and reinstalled everything several times and the field is still free.

When I want to create an APP for Android I get the message
"..could not compile support class"

(both points are discussed on the net but nowhere is a solution that closes the gap for me)

I have installed:
LC Indy 9_6_3 trial
jdk1_8_0_301
as well as all tools via android studio

THANK YOU for HELPING

Hi Franzda
I can't help with your android question but a quick tip: If you put [Solved] in your title, people will assume you have solved your issue.

If you have solved it, it's always helpful to respond to your own post with a solution that may help others.

If you haven't solved it, it may be wise to remove the [Solved] text from your post's title, so people won't assume it's already solved...

hope you find your answers,
Stam

no problems with the installation

every time i do reinstall os. This guide is quite clear and easy.

There are two common problems here: 1) LC is not finding your JDK, 2) Android Studio is broken. I've seen that last one appear several times here in the past month, unbelievable as it may sound.

Android Studio comes with its own JDK, so in the end I went to the trouble of working out what was required in order to get LC to use that JDK. IMO LC need to change LC so that this is what they do too.
