Hi,

is it possible to use the german date under android? I'm not really interested in the date here, that's easy to solve. The names of the weekdays and months would be nice, or do i have to write it myself?
best

Well, I don't know about ''Furious", maybe 'Piqued' or 'Perturbed' would suffice.

Danke Klaus, bleib dran...
Vielleicht bekommen die Jungs an der Livecode-Tastatur das ja noch irgendwann hin

I've never had a German date, but I had a Dutch girlfriend for 4 years: does that count?

"Use the english keyword to use a date in an invariant format that is guaranteed
not to change when the stack is moved to another system, or when users change their system preferences."

Which is schrecklich if you want it to be in German.

Hm, we already have -> the system date
but that is not supported on Android.

I wonder why, when Android is 'just' a version of Linux.

ALSO: the system date allows you to use the, wait for it, wait for it . . . system date,

BUT, it doesn't allow you, say, to use the Bulgarian date while you are using a Korean system.

I'm curious Klaus (but have no way to test it) what does the internet date return on a German system? Is it the same format as

Sun, 17 Mar 2019 09:29:39 -0400

You might not, Klaus, but LiveCode is not just made for you. 8)
