Emulators & standalones not working for android

I've been working on an app and had to wait for LC 5.5.5 to be released last week to get it's new revision into app store. That has now been a success...but I have an issue with the android side that I never had before. The emulator and actual devices just show a black screen when you run the app...I haven't changed anything in the app, just updated to LC 5.5.5 and now the android emulators and standalones don't work.

Any advice?

It just gives a completely black screen on all emulators and physical devices

Hi Kelly,
You have read the posts about Android black screen and Android 2.2 so I'm guessing it's not that.
The other thing I've seen here is that if there are iOS externals in the "Copy Files" tab, that also will give you a black screen.

Hello,

I am using Livecode 5.5.5 and created a simple hello world app. It just show black screen. Anything I missed? Or this is still a bug?

Hmmmm... I'm not even getting the black screen... I'm using 6.0.2 RC commercial edition on a Mac. I have the ADK up to date. When I create a Hello World app and try it out on the emulator, I get that it stopped working and gives me an OK button.

Hi everyone,

I posted this in another thread, but since it is relevant here, I will mention it.

I have a Mac running Mountain Lion, LiveCode updated to 5.5.5.
I have successfully had apps approved for the iPhone.
Then, I converted them for Android.

I have run the apps on an Android device previously to updating to 5.5.5.
But now, only a black screen.
So, I tried using LiveCode 5.5.3 and 5.5.4.
The app successfully installed on the Android device with both these.

My advice, use the earlier LiveCode for Android, and 5.5.5 for iOS.

Best wishes,
Jessamy.
