Meeting: February 4, Pasadena
Posted: Wed Feb 03, 2016 6:40 pm
Where:
Du-par's, back room
214 S. Lake Avenue
Pasadena CA 91101
http://www.du-pars.com/dupars_locations.html
When:
Thursday, February 4, 7:00PM
Who:
The meetings are open to any and all who have an interest in chatting about LiveCode.
What:
Time permitting I can discuss lchttpd, a fork of Scott Raney's mchttpd updated as a library and expanded to handle CGI, PUT, and other features not found in his original. This would include a review of socket communications useful for all socket servers, and a discussion of the HTTP protocol and how LiveCode can be used as a drop-in replacement for Apache for specialized types of web server projects.
Others are encouraged to bring any other projects they want to share. I believe Bill Vlahos has one in store for us.
The remainder of the evening will be a Hackfest! Bring your laptop with a coding problem and we'll work in groups to find solutions together.
