Balancing hobbies, coding and exploring Web3 jobs
Hi everyone
I’m Anna, I’ve been learning and experimenting with LiveCode for a little while now and I really enjoy the creativity it allows. Outside of coding, I spend quite some time reading about tech trends, and lately I keep stumbling upon conversations about Web3 jobs. It seems to be a growing field, but at the same time it’s still kind of a mystery to me.
I was curious to ask here in the off-topic section: how do you all balance your personal hobbies, coding projects and sometimes the temptation to dive into completely new areas like Web3. Do you just stick to what you know and love, or do you like to explore these new tech movements on the side?
Looking forward to hearing how you all approach this mix of work, fun and curiosity.

Oh, that's easy, for me, but, then, I suspect you are not nearing 64 . . .
Very shortly, having spent the last 21 years running an EFL school in Bulgaria (and my wife, who is a Prof. of English at the local University) will be:
1. Shutting down my EFL school (and, face facts: 21 years of that is quite enough Thank You).
2. Selling most of our property here.
3. Retiring to some suitably obscure corner of Scotland (where I was bairned).
4. My hobbies consist of:
4.1. Coding.
4.2. Playing abstract board games.
4.3. Designing abstract board games.
4.4. Hill walking.
4.5 Gardening.
4.6. Reading books.
So, absolutely no balance whatsoever . . .

Anna,
I do rather little diving.
I code for both fun and for my business. I have made several free apps for friends, and a few for my business, some for controlling production machines, along with a single large program that business uses every day.
Never built for mobile or web; I probably should start, though.

It's a fun thread tho, about as reliably useful as GPTs get. Do we delete, or enjoy it as a writing prompt?
