Hi all,
just came across Nucleo, a very helpful and free app for organising SVGs icons (as well as get access to some free ones).
It has some nice features and is available for Mac/Win (they make their money by selling icons - completely optional).
Some of you may find this helpful for your projects as well:

This looks exciting, and I will have a look when I get home (have just walked through a fantastic mile-long cave).
But, one thing I do not understand is what, if any, difference there is between a bog-normal SVG image and an SVG icon (except dimensions).

Looks nice, but the Pricing page there says $99. What did I miss?

The pricing is for purchasing their
icons
The app is free
That's why I linked directly to the applications page and not their home - I knew it would confuse someone

The app already includes a significant number of SVG icons and the icons included in Material Design.

Just tried it out, dragging and icon onto LC stack.
Very nice.

There seem to be various online offerings, a Python recipe, and a C# recipe to convert .json to .svg:
https://products.aspose.com/cells/net/c ... on-to-svg/
https://products.aspose.com/cells/pytho ... on-to-svg/
and, looking at a .json file (
https://github.com/NucleoApp/google-material-icons-json ) in a text editor:

I get the distinct impression this should not be unduly difficult in LiveCode.

Why is it that every time 3rd party software is mentioned, the you respond with 'this should not be difficult in LiveCode'.
Most things are possible in LiveCode. But few things are actually easy (I'm referring to authoring a complete app, with all this entails).
But I suppose it depends on what you mean by 'unduly difficult'...

Stam.
Richmond has a bit of the sort of delusional fever I do. EVERYTHING is possible in LC, and none terribly onerous.
This flies in the face of an oftentimes simple tool I throw together for some purpose or other, maybe a control or two with a single handler of a dozen lines. Half an hour later I get it to work.
My fault, though, not LC's.

Thanks Craig - I know. But my point is that making an app to be shared with the public requires *a lot* of work.
Maybe we should just take advantage of someone finding use case for building it and making some money while offering the app for free, thereby freeing us up from having to spend months writing this ourselves
Hey and if someone wants to write this in LC, more power to them and 100% support it, but we all know that's not gonna happen
