Bing gets it wrong.
1. Well let's start with the Borland C++ logo . . .
2. Version information is outdated.
3. "Formerly Revolution and MetaCard"
I do remember when LiveCode was called 'Runtime Revolution' (and, personally, I prefer that name to 'LiveCode').
LiveCode was NEVER called 'MetaCard'; that relationship is a bit more complicated.
What a load of old nadgers.
The people in Edinburgh need to put the boot in!
I am sure that a lot of the totally cacked information floating around on the 'interweb' is because
there is a lack of will in certain areas at LiveCode central.

What is odd is that over on Ecosia:

If you click on the 'blue pencil' you end up at the Wikipedia page devoted to LiveCode.

You make your point succinctly as always Richard - but i would argue that this is what he mothership should have in hand already and not have to rely on Richmond contacting them!
Yes, developing LC is important, but maintaining and promoting the company image is more important from the point of view of 'spreading the word' and longer term viability of the product, which is something we all want.
LC's main problem is how it's perceived by non-LC users and requires a significant resource allocated manipulate this - or in short, they should have been all over this already!

Re: Bing gets it wrong.
If something is "slipping" in my school it is my responsibility and my job to sort it out, and if some 9 year old kid
points something out I feel very bad and do what I can to sort it out, and I don't get one of my assistant teachers
to snap back at the child with a snide remark.

Re: Bing gets it wrong.
"Should" and "is" are different things.
When a fella with 30 years' experience working in an advisory role with half a dozen xtalk vendors makes a suggestion, and the suggestion takes only seconds, what is the risk in following it?
When the fella is also the LiveCode Community Liaison, who talks with them and follows their work closely, what is the benefit in arguing against it?

That was not a suggestion, and I'm not arguing against it.What did they say when you wrote them on this?
A suggestion might take this form:
"How about writing to them about this?"
I am quite sure you can see that distinction as well as I can.
But, as Community Liaison Officer it might be an idea to liaise: i.e. hand
ideas and information on from the community to those at the top.

I'm not a company officer.
I'm giving you the best guidance I can offer.
You are not obliged to follow it.

Plenty. But it's warm here, so in the summer I often slip into Fiji time. Working on a cool summer evening with no phone interruptions can be a godsend for creativity.

Pushing 36 degrees Celsius here at 7pm in the evening.
Never mind: going to Britain for 2 weeks on Sunday: you can relax a bit as I shall be off-list for a spot.
