Brave browser & Bitcoin

Post by richmond62 » Thu Oct 08, 2020 10:52 am

I am currently using Brave browser on macOS 10.0 beta something and am generally please with it . . .

BUT: this kind of 'nonsense' keeps popping up:
-

which does not interest me one iota . . .

Does anyone have any idea how to get rid of this?

The only crypto wallet I have is my bank account: and the thing
that is cryptic about it is that it is generally empty. 8)

Brave is nice, also it is with the Chrome/Chromium base.

I guess it is a plugin which could be, uninstalled or turned off, I've not seen that under Linux. Nothing to find under settings/plugins somewhere?

I could be wrong, but I believe the setting you are looking for is not a plugin, but 'Brave Rewards'. Brave will, according to them, pay you according to what the rewards program offers.

Brave s my No1 Browser.... but I dont use bit coins...the Rewards is the core of Brave system but I think that you dont have to activate it it to keep using Brave, it wont bother you more than appearing on the right corner.
Now, I dont think you can remove it completely... but try a search for "deactivating brave rewards" or reinstall it or such...
its worth the rest of Brave's super fast display and blocking features to me...

Brave is a fork/clone of Chrome...with better privacy and less adds
