Re: Hibernation
Hello Richmond,
An enhancement request can be hibernated. This means that we do not plan to implement the requested functionality any time soon - but we might do so in the future.
Kind regards,
Panos

Re: Hibernation
Thank you for that explanation.
On what basis do you decide that something should be hibernated rather than acted on?

Re: Hibernation
Heh that's a bit complicated
Several factors come into play, such as:
- How much work involves implementing the requested feature
- How much it will benefit LC in general
- Our current workload
- If the feature can be cross-platform
- If there is any workaround that can be used instead
So, taking these ^^ and possibly other factors into consideration, the LC team discusses and decides whether to hibernate a feature request or not.
BTW, it is quite possible that some of the old hibernated reports are already implemented. Periodically someone goes through that list and updates the status of these reports.
Hope this helps.
Kind regards,
Panos

Re: Hibernation
To a certain extent.Hope this helps.
As you will see from another thread I have inititated; I do think LIveCode might benefit from some more direct input
from end-users.
