Apple have just announced they will be transitioning to ARM chips:

What has LiveCode got hiding under Kevin's sofa?
"Programmers will have varying degrees of difficulty rebuilding their software for Arm-based Macs
while continuing to support Intel-based Macs that will still be used for years."

This one will be laughing her socks off: but will we?

Re: Chips without legs . . .
Every few years Apple makes some sort of change that requires deep revisions for all developers: 69k to PPC, Classic to OSX, PPC to Intel, Carbon to Cocoa, 32 bit to 64 bit.
This is just the upheaval du jour, and I can't imagine the LC team wouldn't handle this as well as they've handled all the previous upheavals before.

Because, if LiveCode don't keep their heads above water we might all drown in a sea of ARM chips.
