Hi all,

Is there a way to use the GenIcam standard under LiveCode?
If this is not the case, is it planned to one day be integrated into LiveCode

There's nothing built in for GenIcam, and I'm not familiar with an extension that supports it (though I haven't looked; may be worth searching at GitHub).

If you need to write your own this should be quite doable with LC's extendibility language, LiveCode Builder.

Unfortunately I'm not sure I have the skills to write such an extension.
On the other hand, I am convinced that the native support of genIcam in LiveCode would be undoubtedly a real opportunity for many people who would make LiveCode as interface with their camera.

Power of LiveCode + power of genIcam, I dare not dream of the benefits of such an association ...

If the opportunity is there hopefully we can attract sufficient bounty to bring someone with the skills on board.
