I have just watched Elanor Buchanan's "Intro" film and had a long, hard look at her revTools palette:

Her revTools palette is on the left, and mine on the right, and, as the standard of the YouTube movie is not what it
could be I cannot work out what all those widgets are on the left-hand side of her palette.

With the introduction of widgets, the Tools palette is now extensible, showing the icons for any widgets you've installed in your local LiveCode setup.
I'll bet some of hers are from LC's widget store, others may be from the community.

Yes, throw more widgets into your user extensions folder and they'll show up in the tools palette.
In addition, PowerTools allows you to organize extensions into folders to simplify the display.
