Renaissance
A new version of CodeTopo is available : CodeTopo 2.0 "Renaissance".
It is the first version of this software fully autonomous.
If some people feel the courage to test the application (in particular on Linux), I'll be grateful to them.
Have a look, in english :

or in french :

Regards,
Renaud

Re: Renaissance
Would it be because of the high degree of sensuality that emanates of the name ?

Re: Renaissance
Hi NoN',
It is a very fine program that I would like to use but I don't have any geographic, geometrical information to process.
But what about an iPhone, iPad app that uses the location services, the data could be used to draw a map/intinerary couldn't it?
Kind regards
Bernd
PS I am afrai that Justin is a spammer that waits to add a link.

Re: Renaissance
Dear Bernd
Thank you very much for your appreciation of CodeTopo. Coming from you I considere this as a real compliment. And don't worry about Justin, I noted the provocative humor of his post, so I replied with a wink (I really like the provocative humor!).
Regarding the iPhone and location services, unfortunately I can't answer you because, for that, I should ... own an iPhone !
I'm still living at the neolithic age of computers with an ancient G4 (1999) and system 10.3.9 (luckily I can do some testing on newer computers). In any case I would like, in future versions of CodeTopo, work for GPS users (and other mobile systems).
But even if you don't have a file of geographic points you can use CodeTopo. If you want to test this affirmation, I put at your disposal the following files:
http://rg75.free.fr/downloads/Sample%20for%20Bernd.zip
with wich you will obtain .... this beautiful (hum hum) butterfly :

from a simple text file as :

The proof ...?

I've also joined to this archive an item that match the design of the head of a famous statesman whose name begins with "Bar ..." and ends with "ma". I think you will recognize...
Thanks Again
Kind regards
Renaud
For testing : you just have to put the "CodeTopo prefs.txt" file in the CodeTopo folder (on windows) or in CodeTopo -> Contents -> MacOs folder accessible by the "Show Package Contents" from the Action menu (on mac).
