Standalone test on iOS 16 hardware
Can anyone tell me if it is possible to test a standalone from OSX 12.5.1,xCode 13.2, LC 9.6.9 Rc1 to a hardware iPhone running iOS 16?
I would not like to install iOS 16 on my test iPhone and then being stuck and have to revert somehow to iOS15.7 (which runs fine)
Thanks

Seems like you're asking for beta testers with iPhones running iOS 16?trevix wrote: ↑Mon Sep 19, 2022 11:56 amCan anyone tell me if it is possible to test a standalone from OSX 12.5.1,xCode 13.2, LC 9.6.9 Rc1 to a hardware iPhone running iOS 16?

That's the only way the statement "... to a hardware iPhone running iOS 16? I would not like to install iOS 16 on my test iPhone..." makes any sense.
If that's the case you may well want to just ask clearly.
You can probably use TestFlight for this (i know it's possible, but not sure about the steps required - others will answer that, if that's what you want).

I was just asking if somebody has done it...or anybody knows something about.

But you’re asking if you can test on hardware running iOS 16 but without installing iOS16…. On the face of it not sure that makes sense?
Re: Standalone test on iOS 16 hardware
Let me re-phrase:
If I install iOS 16 on my iphone, will I still be able to test on it my app from LC?
PS: my italian is much better

You can set up a simulator in Xcode and try it there first. The simulator is pretty accurate.

Re: Standalone test on iOS 16 hardware
For what I have seen, iOS 16 is not available on Xcode 13.2
Are you suggesting to use the latest Xcode 14? (not sure that works with LC 9.6.9

Re: Standalone test on iOS 16 hardware
I have been able to test an app from LC to my iOS 16 iPhone.

Yes, it is possible to test a standalone app built with live code on an iphone running ios 16 using Xcode.
Ensure your Xcode is set to target ios 16, and it should work without affecting your test iphone's current ios version.
