Hi,
I have finally started to move one of my apps to iOS but hit a snag re "portrait upside down".
I notice that there was a post concerning the iPhone X and the simulator not doing "portrait upside down".

I am using a 12 Pro Max simulator with iOS 14.5 (latest SDK that will run.) and cannot get the upside down to work.
Basically when I choose "portrait upside down" the whole screen just displays upside down.
The Landscapes mode work fine.

So, is this a known issue with the simulator and the iPhone 12 Pro Max setting or is it more general.
( checked the HIG doc referd in the iPhone X thread but found nothing referring to this.)

If it is only a simulator issue then all is well. (have yet to try installing on an actual device.)

BTW, it's funny that you mention PUD. I have several apps I run on one of my ipads in PUD because the cords can then be out of the way on my desk. I have only encountered a couple of apps that don't work in PUD.

Any iOS device with a notch will not work in upside down mode.

Thanks Brian, makes sense I guess.

And Huawei in its wisdom does not allow PUD on its tablets either, or at least the one I have. I have no idea why, there's no notch. I want the charging cable to come off the top when I'm holding it in my lap but no go.
