mobile/iOS learning resource?

Hi all,
Relatively new to LC and now comfortable creating for desktop and looking to port a couple of apps to mobile.
I can see a great number of commands for mobile and there are a number 'lessons' - the inverted commas are because these are largely of the type 'put this code here', which isn't really helpful or particularly time efficient from a learning perspective. Either that, or they are very focused lessons on 1 particular point (in no helpful order) with no explanation of collateral subjects, making a sound learning foundation difficult.
In spite a lot of searching online i've not been able to find a good solid resource for learning the basics for mobile/ios and certainly little that is less than 8 years old, even for purchase.
Can anyone point to a nice resource for learning?
