What's with lack of native controls?

I'm puzzled to find LiveCode go from a Drag-Drop to a Code-Compile when creating mobile applications, why can't a scrolling field be scrolled natively with gestures? It's very odd and goes against the design philosophy of LiveCode and it's predecessors. Is there a specific reason we require coding to create native controls? Or have I been running myself into the ground and missed the obvious? That does happen :P

Another bother, what's with the dog-awful motif design of the UI? Would be nice to get a real UI for mobile devices, some nice radio buttons at least. Having to create visuals and code for elements that LiveCode already has built-in != RAD.

Back to work!
Jeremy.

Agree, that struck me as weird (and took more time to learn) when first starting IOS development using Livecode. If it wasn't for Mobgui I probably would have tossed livecode altogether.
