Xcode IOS Development SDK's folder location
Hi guys
I am not able to set the LiveCode XCode IOS development SDK's folder.
The development Environment:
Mac 5k 27” 2017
24Gb RAM
macOS High Sierra
Xcode Version 9.2 (9C40b)
LiveCode Indy 8.1.8 Build 14052
After doing some research on the topic “Location for IOS development SDK’s”,
I found the following.
“You need to select the developer root folder. If you have a default installation, the folder is simply /Developer.”
When using the add entry in LiveCode to navigate to Xcode I am not able to select the folders of Xcode content.
So I created an Alias of XCode\developer in (Documents\my Livecode)
That did not help either.
When choosing the folder I get en error that says “The chosen folder is not a valid IOS SDK”
Kindly see attached images

Re: Xcode IOS Development SDK's folder location
LC 8.1.8 does not support Xcode 9.2, LC 8.1.9 RC1 does:

Re: Xcode IOS Development SDK's folder location
Works fine here. Are you selecting the xCode file in the applications folder?
xCode 9.2
High Sierra 10.13.2
LC 8.1.9 rc1
xCode 9.2
High Sierra 10.13.2

Re: Xcode IOS Development SDK's folder location
Hi Tom
Thanks
This is the path that I am using as recommended.
developer\applications:
These are the only two files here:
Xcode Server Builder.app
Simulator.app
I am selecting Simulator.app.
Am I using the wrong path?
Thanks

Re: Xcode IOS Development SDK's folder location
As many LC developers do I have several Xcode versions installed. They are all in the applications folder. Xcode should install into the root of the applications folder by default.

Re: Xcode IOS Development SDK's folder location
I'm using LC 8.1.8 and as the release notes indicate, Xcode 9.2 is not compatible but Xcode 9.1 is. You can download it here:

Re: Xcode IOS Development SDK's folder location
I can't get past that same error message and set up LiveCode.
The only choice I see is clicking: Applications > Xcode.app
and I get the error message about the chosen folder is not a valid iOS SDK
LiveCode 9.0.1
XCode 10.1
Not sure what I can do to make this work.
All help appreciated!

Re: Xcode IOS Development SDK's folder location
LC 9.0.1 does not support Xcode 10. You will need Xcode 9.4.1 until LC 9.0.2 rc1 is released.

Just got the LC 9.0.2 and still get the same error. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?
