Technical documentation services needed for a big Rev system

Post by phancongphuc » Mon Oct 18, 2010 5:18 am

Hi Rev experts,

I am apps manager at a RMIT university Vietnam.
We have a big system for managing student records. The system was developed in house using Revolution and it has no technical documentation.

I need to have technical documents for this system so that I could hire new developers to maintain the system. The technical documents should be able to show programmers how the system was designed and developed so that they could have sufficient knowledge of the system to fix bugs or develop new features.

Part of the technical documentation, I am also looking for if the system was designed and developed using best practices and if there is room to improve its design and source code.

The current system has MySQL as it database and all the servers are host at our campus at Hochiminh city Vietnam.

Any ideas of which company I could outsource this to are very much appreciated.

Thank you in advance.

Hi Phuc Phan,

My company may be interested in such a project. Coincidentally, I visited Vietnam last year and fell in love with the people and the city and would be keen to work with the University on this sort of project.

You can see our services and experience at http://www.pregenerate.com. We work almost exclusively using Revolution (Live Code) and have produced many prototypes and complete applications using MySQL, SQLite and MS SQL Server over the last 10 years.

I have 20 plus years experience as a Business Analyst and a qualified PRINCE2 practitioner.

Please contact me: roger.kingston@pregenerate.com if you would like to pursue the possibility of preGenerate Services working with the University to document your Revolution applications and associated databases.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Best regards
