i have significant experience in Toolbook which is similar to hypercard but uses slightly different language .. but essentially the same..

Are there any documents that could help me find equivalent terms and/or instructions?

Skim the User Guide and you'll be set. LC is similar enough to TB that you'll pick it up pretty quickly.
