Where are relatively simple exercises like this on the website?
Relatively simple, yet using:
1. variables
2. conditional loops
3. switch . . . case

You have to love kids who suffer from Oliver Twist Syndrome . . .
However, unlike Mr Bumble, when a child cries out for 'meat' I'll give it to them . . .

The fantastic thing about LiveCode, from a pedagogical point of view, is that one can
readily build computerised versions of educational coding toys without any undue effort:

Of course the best way to use this sort of exercise for teaching LiveCode is to
have the game/toy on the table by the computers so children can go back and forth
between it and LiveCode and think about how they MANUALLY manipulate components
of the game, and how the computer has to be instructed how to manipulate components
on-screen.

As this is a complete, utter and shameless rip-off of the functionality of the HEADU product
[all images I prepared myself]
anyone who wants to download this and play with it can: BUT I would suggest that no-one be so daft
as to attempt to palm it off anywhere as any sort of copyrighted work.
I made this, not in a spirit of stealing, ripping-off, or anything else, beyond using the idea and imagery
as a way of demonstrating how LiveCode may be used as a stepping-stone programming environment to
take learners from physically manipulatable models to computer modelling and coding.
