My kids and I play a "License plate" game as we drive around town. License plates generally have three alpha characters along with several digits.

So if we were following a car with, say "PNP" the game is to find the shortest word that contains those three chars, the order of letters not mattering. Anyone who came up with "pinup" or "nippy" would win with a five letter word. "Palpitating" is valid, but 11 letters.

Many years ago I made a stack to fool around with that idea. There are, for "PNP", actually five words with five letters, nothing shorter, and over 1800 words in all.

I cannot upload the stack, because it is too large for the forum. If anyone is interested, send me a note and I will email it.
