Illegal extension and saving in standalones

Post by dalkin » Tue Dec 21, 2021 8:42 am

There is a recent post observing that the .livecode extension is considered to be "illegal" See viewtopic.php?f=143&t=36331&p=209272&hi ... al#p209272
This would seem to indicate that it nullifies the ability to save in standalones where it is necessary to create a splash stack with the addition of a .livecode stack where entries to fields are, in fact, able to be saved. The solution, via the link, is to zip the file but won't that get unzipped during the Apple evaluation and therefore rejected?
If we're treading on thin ice, well you might as well dance.

This is only applicable to posters in this forum who want to upload a stack for test or demonstration purposes. The phpBB forum software here doesn’t recognise .livecode as a filetype that is acceptable. It is nothing to do with normal app development and submission to the stores.
