Transferring files (vid and picts) from MacOs to an iPad

I need to move files (pictures and videos) from a laptop (MacOS) to an iPad or iPhone across a wireless network - NOT connected to the internet. Of course I want to use Livecode.

Is this possible?

What would be the best coding solution? Sockets, FTP, something else??

I would like it to be bi-directional, but laptop to iPad is the most important.
Cannot use Dropbox or other web options.

Thanks in advance for any and all ideas.

(I posted this on the iOS forum - but thought maybe someone here could help as well!)

I can't think of a way without the internet. Sockets and ftp aren't supported on mobile, and Apple has its own restrictions about where you can download files to and from.

Thank you for your reply.

I guess I need to learn a new language!

No, you don't have to learn a new language. Check out MergSockets (I believe that's what Monte called it).

I forgot about Monte's external. Yay, no new language required. :-)

Why not via iTunes ? I missed something ?
Edit: Yes, I missed "wireless"
I use this way to copy a folder 322 Mo
