Livecode v950 IDE crash on Windows

Post by j9v6 » Tue Aug 06, 2019 9:36 am

Some are experiencing this on OS X. I'm also getting a Livecode Community Edition IDE crash on Windows 10 too. I've experienced this on two separate PCs. No error messages, no alerts, the application just vanishes from the screen.

Same here but with the Indy and Business Edition. The same project using LC 9 0 4 Indy or Business Edition does not cause a crash. I have not been able to reliably reproduce this either. It has happened when I've cleared a breakpoint, deleted a control, and just applied new code from the code window. The only thing that I've found is an entry in the Windows application log about NTDLL as the faulting module. Not really helpful and since I'm relatively new to LC I'm not sure where to look next.

The team is most acutely aware of this situation. There's an open bug report to collect any crash logs you can add.
