Without a doubt the most complete reference on setting up and using the Rev engine as a CGI is Jacque Gay's wonderful article at:

There has also been a lot of very helpful discussion over the years on using the engine for CGI work on the use-revolution list:

I agree. When I first started investigating what could be done with Revolution for CGI, I used Jacque's tutorial, then just went off on my own.

All you need to get started is the basics outlined there.

Strange that the link to the most comprehensive tutorial on Rev CGIs ever written hasn't been made sticky yet....
