lcStackBrowser

I want to know why this plugin is not listed with the other externals on the LiveCode Externals Page.
I consider this to be a really worthwhile plugin and more attention should be given this plugin.

1. Which page? URL?

2. Maybe because it's a plugin and not an external?

I agree it would be nice to raise visibility for plugins where the author puts in extra time for excellent fit-and-finish as Peter has. And my understanding is that the new RevOnline being designed is likely going to help with that. But we may have to be patient: we keep asking the team to do so much engine work (this week a lot of focus is on Apple's backward compatibility issues in iOS 10) that I don't yet have a deadline for the revOnline update.

We may be able to make a page for that on the Community site. Would you be in a position to help maintain it if we do?

Let's start with what we know we want, and later we'll coordinate with the web team to work out how we put it into place.

The goal with a page like this on livecode.org is to celebrate the wealth of plugins and other add-ons in our community that are compatible with the Community Edition.

So one way to get that started would be to make a spreadsheet or even a simple stack with these fields:
- Tool name
- Author
- License type
- Download URL
- Info URL

Can you think of any other fields we might want in such a listing?

I'll work on something.
It will be a stack. Sort of: "put my money where my mouth is".

Stacks are cool, an underappreciated file format. :)

Thanks for helping with this.

did you just want a stack with a card showing just fields that we are interested in capturing? Or a Stack that actually works capturing the information?

At the moment any repository of information is most useful. I'm not sure how we could make something to automate that, since not everyone uses the RIP conventions (see http://livecodejournal.com/features/rip/index.html ), and no other convention has been widely adopted either.

I just visited the RIP Site and this project has not been updated in quite a while.
I downloaded your RIP Editor and that is pretty cool.
I actually learned some good stuff from your code that I have been wondering how to do in some of my prospective projects.
I think your RIP Editor is the ticket to capturing information for a WEB "Externals" topic catalog for the LiveCode.org page that we have been discussing.
