Understanding LCFMNative

Post by WorldWizards » Thu Mar 21, 2019 5:58 pm

I've looked through the LCFM native info a few times, and I am still unsure of its use.

Its is JUST a method to deploy Filemaker projects, or does it convert those projects to an LC stack which can then be further developed within LC?

At the moment, yes it is just a method to deploy FileMaker projects. There are no plans to turn it into a converter - they way it works is using a virtual machine / bytecode style model, rather than producing readable LiveCode.

In the future it may be possible to augment deployed FM projects with LiveCode stacks / functionality using LCFM Native.
