Hello LiveCode community. We share the link to this plugin that allows us to import media files into your LiveCode workspace. Drag and drop it into the IDE.

To install them you just have to open the stack. It takes care of copying the extension to your LiveCode extension folder.

Thanks for posting that. I took the liberty of cleaning up the link so it goes directly to the repository.

Do you have a license file for that repository that I missed?

The license that is in the repo is the MTL, since it is the most permissible to our way of seeing. Our intention is that the community feel free to use and modify this plugin.

New version of the plugin
these are the changes

• The file SVG is no longer treated as if all content is the SVG path. Now the SVG path is searched within the files.

• The use of the acceptDrop property has been removed.

• When you import one or more images, it scales them to the size of the destination stack. This will only be done if they are larger than the pile.

• The chart created after dropping off the stack no longer stays.

• Objects are imported at the mouse position.

In this version some bugs were fixed and new features were added:

• Background graphic is removed when switching to another application.

Upgrades

• Import to the stack where the file is placed and to the top stack if placed on an IDE stack.

• The background graphic is colored according to the license type of your LiveCode.

• LiveCode extensions can be dragged to install.

• Now referenced images can be imported. Holding down the Control + Shift keys.
